After viewing this article, I wonder just how much “coding” an information design person will have to know about to do a job well.
I do remember years ago, I took an IT course (not at ECU) that required no prerequisite and the course was on different computer languages. We were to use 3 different coding books and were expected to know the basics of coding going into the class. I was petrified. The only languages at that time that I was vaguely familiar with was C++, Visual Basic and Fortran! Yes, this was a while back. Now, I wonder just how much coding knowledge is expected for an information design job.
